A great Fall/Winter seasonal riff on the classic Paper Plane.
A clever Paper Plane riff - created by @rumbleandstir, the name is spot on and the flavors are beautifully balanced. This one is warming enough for fall, yet bright enough to enjoy any time of year. Between the spice of the rye, the pear liqueur’s baked-fruit warmth, the Aperol-lemon brightness, and the earthy bitterness of Averna, this one really flies.
INGREDIENTS
1 oz. rye whiskey
1 oz. spiced pear liqueur
½ oz. Aperol
½ oz. Averna
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
TOOLS + GLASSWARE
Shaker
Strainer
Chilled coupe or Nick & Nora
PREPARATION
Add all ingredients to shaker tin and shake with ice until chilled
Fine strain into coupe or Nick and Nora
Garnish with a lemon twist (optional)
