A sweet and floral gin variation of the classic Last Word cocktail.

The Right Word is a sweet and floral gin cocktail. It uses four ingredients in equal parts: gin, Lillet Blanc (a French fortified wine), St. Germain (elderflower liqueur), and lime juice. It is a bright, summery cousin to the classic Last Word cocktail.

INGREDIENTS

• 0.75 oz Gin (try a London Dry like Tanqueray or Bombay Sapphire)

• 0.75 oz Lillet Blanc

• 0.75 oz St. Germain (elderflower liqueur)

• 0.75 oz Fresh lime juice

TOOLS + GLASSWARE

• Shaker

• Strainer

• Chilled coupe or Nick & Nora

PREPARATION

1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

2. Pour all four ingredients into the shaker.

3. Shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds.

4. Strain the liquid into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass.
